Horizon Eye Care is a large, growing Ophthalmology practice with locations across the state of North Carolina. As the practice continued to grow, Horizon Eye’s business office manager, Callie Bannister, knew they had two choices. They either needed to hire a new coder, or they needed to automate their processes to free up time and handle greater volume in the back office.
As all practices in this current climate can agree, hiring and onboarding a new coder is costly. On top of that, finding the right fit is extremely challenging. Callie had the foresight to realize that what they really needed was to increase the efficiencies of their current team. Callie and her teammate Jessica already have deep expertise in the industry, as well as practice and specialty-specific knowledge. Baking that knowledge into automation would allow them to focus on capturing missed revenue opportunities, decreasing denials, and decreasing days in A/R.
With all this in mind, they partnered with White Glove. In partnership with White Glove’s expert coaching and vast industry knowledge, Callie and Jessica worked diligently to automate as much of their process as possible. They knew that this would allow them to focus on the encounters that needed their attention.
